Update on August 1: Reciprocal Duties – Effective August 1, 2025
As of August 1, 2025, reciprocal duties between the United States and China have been updated – we offer a file to download the updated reciprocal tariff list. Importers and exporters should be aware of the following changes, which reflect official tariff announcements and customs rulings:
- The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) have confirmed updates to Section 301 tariff actions and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTSUS) duty rates. See: CBP – Harmonized Tariff Schedule and USTR Section 301 Tariffs.
- The Ministry of Finance of the People’s Republic of China (MOF) has issued corresponding announcements adjusting tariff rates on imports from the United States. See: MOF Tariff Announcements (China) and China Customs Tariff Schedule.
These updates reflect reciprocal changes and will affect duty calculations for a wide range of goods. Companies should review the updated reciprocal tariff list and calculate their landed cost calculations and ensure that customs declarations, product classifications, and Incoterms reflect the most recent updates.
